Hill top experience

The place is clean and what I like about is quiet up at the hill top over looking the city. Walking into the city is just 10mins.

a stopover...

was just a night stay to break our long journey to the next destination. room is good n work table is big enough plus placed by the window with natural lights. breakfast was ok apart from that the croissants and viennoiseries are a bit too dry :( unlike other hotels that I've been they r kept warm. Coffee has a strange after taste, most probably it's time for the machine to be détartrage ;) Otherwise, we've enjoyed our stay, nice hotel up the hill surrounded by the nature

Mercure bielefeld

It was a great experience to stay at mercure Hotel at bielefeld Germany. Location at the top of the hill is excellent and it has a panaromic view of bielefeld city. Checking in was. Ert smooth. Room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Checking out was equally smooth. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Good value for money on the weekend

We had a room with bed and sofa, sofa was sufficient for our 6 year old son for sleeping. Parking for free, location close to city center but on a hill top, therefore car needed, there is nothing in walking distance. Tassimo coffee maker in the room.

Very good hotel in lovely surroundings

Last time I was at Johannesburg Bielefeld it was still a Novotel. Then it was on it's way to be a bit worn down. In the meantime it has been a Park Inn-hotel and is now back in the Accor-group. It is very nicely redecorated. The rooms are light and enough space. As always in germany it is clean and well-kept. It has a fantastic view over the town - near the house of Dr. Oetker - and in the summer you just want to make use of the lovely terrassa. The evening meal was ok, the service during the whole stay very good, although the breakfast was a bit disappointing by German standards, but otherwise fine.

Great location if you’re travelling with pets

Location, aircon, pet friendly Hotel is set within a large park so it’s great for walking the dog. Food was good, both dinner in the bar and breakfast selection. The reception staff were happy to help with any requests.

Nice hotel.

A little bit lost in the middle of a park (awesome) this hotel is a very interesting option. with an overview of the city on every corner, a magnificent castle in front of you, it is a quite unique place to stay. I was there for business and this hotel checked all the right boxes, comfortable, good service, clean and convenient. even though apart from the city, in five minutes you were in the center of the city. Good restaurant an bfast, convenient parking and awesome big rooms. I would stay again if back in the area.

Excellent hotel and friendly, helpful staff

The food and hotel itself was excellent. The hotel stands high up over the city but a walk of 15/20 minutes places you in the heart of Bielefeld. The hotel is surrounded by parkland and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is ample free parking. We stayed for five nights and will be staying there again whenever we visit friends again.

All was more or less ok with the exception of the meal in the evening, this was really bad.

good comfort in the room, relatively quiet Bad: We got only a Snack Card with few meals in the evening and the ordered meal was really bad (Curry sausage with french fries).

The room was comfortable and the breakfast varied. Good location to stay with a dog - quiet, outside the city centre, in a park (we got a snow bonus). Bad: n/a

weekend trip to Bielefeld

the hotel is ok. breakfast is good. however the receptionists are not quite customer oriented. i asked for more shampoo and bathgel. the question one young lady asked me was is my shampoo empty. and she also said that there is shampoo hanging on wall. does that mean i will not get my request? i asked her what does it matter whether my shampoo is half empty or all empty. i asked for shampoo and i am the customer and i should get it. i told her that i have traveled all around the world and never had to use my own shampoo although i do bring some extra necessities. in a hotel such as Mercure, should a staff question what a customer wanted i was livid that i was asked that question. she does not own the hotel and she should never have asked. because of that, we will not stay at a Mercure anymore. also our room facing the front is not quiet . trucks and cars come and go at all times

Comfortable and very good and quiet location

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night during our road trip from London to Berlin. The location is on a hill overlooking Bielefeld and in a forested area. The weather was not very good when we arrived but I can imagine that under better weather conditions this is a fantastic location to spend a few days and have walks in the forest. The location is out of the built up area and very quiet. There is a large free parking space. Rooms are very good and clean. The hotel was in the process of upgrading the bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was fine as well. The bar is cosy. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is certainly a hotel I would like to visit again in the future.

Good

The last floor directly above of my room was under work - was noisy during the afternoon and I was not informed on the booking site and by the staff at check-in.

Franck on Booking.com, 06.11.2017

Good hotel at a quiet location

Friendly staff, clean and spacy rooms, good bar & restauarant, decent breakfast and sufficient free parking spots. Located a bit outside town, so very quiet all around the hotel. The elevator isn't the newest but I only took it once as the room was just on the first floor.

comfortable and lovely location

This hotel is perfect for a quick get-away or a stopover. Easy to reach and situated in a lovely area. Bielefeld is great for long walks and cycling, and the hotel is situated right at the edge of it so trails start right outside the front door. Just one note is to be careful with the trails, as we followed a 20 km suggestion that was supposed to be a loop according to the reception but ended up a one-way route.. Less of a great option if the weather is bad, as there is not much to do in Bielefeld, except for some small museums. Nonetheless it is surprisingly lively for such a small place. Lots of eating establishments and the vegan scene was excellent! The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding, and as vegans we had a perfect variety of fresh fruits, soy milk. Breads and pastries were constantly brought in, still hot from the oven. Other notes: that there is plenty of parking space, a lovely view from the restaurant, bathrooms were a bit dated (but fine), and save for one party it was perfectly quiet at night. I would definitely recommend and perhaps revisit in the near future!

Comfortable, Well Placed Hotel

We had stayed at this hotel before, when it was owned by Radisson. The location is very interesting, on the Johannisberg, with views across the city. The walks into the city are very interesting (if you don't mind down and up hill walks). The hotel is very comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent - with a full range of foods. We used the hotel as a base, so did not experience the bar or the restaurant at other times, or any events that were staged. All staff are very polite and, as usual, speak good English. Highly recommended for a visit to Bielefeld, which is a very interesting city!

Restful place to stay just outside the old town, on a steep hill overlooking city..

We were used to staying within walkin distance of the old town center. On the plus side, this was much quieter and thus we slept better. The walk into town is quite strenuous but doable.
